Concert, Opera & Drama Series Program Thursday Night

Our first Concert, Opera & Drama Series program of the year, the BJU Symphony Orchestra with guest artist David Kim, is Thursday, Oct. 2.  Tickets are provided without charge to all BJU students.  Please note that graduate and undergraduate students taking six or more credit hours are expected to attend all of the Concert, Opera & Drama Series programs.

If you have regularly scheduled work or outreach ministry during every performance, you will need to submit a DE-2 form.  The DE-2 form is available on the Avenue.  Keep in mind that if you revise a form that has already been approved, you will need to submit an entirely new request. The new request wFeb 2014 Dessert Social Poster(2)ill replace your original request, not add to it, so be sure to fill out the new form completely.  Click here for additional information

And don’t forget the desert social sponsored by SLC following the program until 10:50 p.m. Cheesecake with toppings and coffee will be served in the Riley Room of the Student Center:  $2 per person.

Dress Reminder

When you are attending programs on campus, please remember the following dress guidelines:

  • Class attire may be worn for student and faculty recitals and productions.
  • Sunday attire is required for major fine arts events (Concert, Opera & Drama Series programs, Handel’s Messiah, etc.).

Although these programs generally begin after 5 o’clock, women students may not wear pants.

Night in the Library

On Friday, Oct. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m., see the library as you’ve never seen it before:  tours of Special Collections and the Boardroom, library workshops (book mending, how to use the electronic databases), games, food, and fun.  This activity is open to all students.
