Enjoy an evening of music with Denyce Graves in Concert. Our first Concert, Opera & Drama Series program of the year is coming up on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 8 p.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium. Tickets are provided without charge to all BJU students.
Please note that students taking six or more credit hours are expected to attend all of the Concert, Opera & Drama Series programs. If you have regularly scheduled work or outreach ministry during the performance, you will need to submit an exemption request in order to be excused. Please submit your request right away so that there is time for it to be approved prior to the date of the program.
Because of the homecoming events at the end of the week, societies will meet on Thursday, not on Friday, this week.
If you have opted out of society or as a part-time student do not normally attend society meetings on Fridays, you will be expected to be in chapel this Friday unless you have work or another obligation during the chapel hour. If that is the case, you may submit an exemption request for permission to miss chapel on Friday.
Next week, representatives from over 40 camps and other ministries will be available to speak with students concerning summer ministry opportunities. The Summer Ministry Conference will be held in the Davis Room of the dining common at the following times:
Tuesday, October 10: 10 – 10:45 a.m.; 11:45 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Wednesday, October 11: 9 – 10:45 a.m.; 11:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Keep an eye out for the ASQ that will go out this afternoon regarding your attendance at the Global Opportunities Week Workshops at 11 a.m. yesterday and today (Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 3 and 4). If you were not able to attend, you may indicate your absence 1) because of an approved exemption or 2) other. The deadline to turn in the ASQ is Friday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. If you have questions, please contact Student Life & Discipleship before the 1 p.m. deadline on Friday.
