GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 5, 2017) – Elliott Martin, a sophomore cross-cultural service major at Bob Jones University, serves this summer as an intern for Kahua Baptist Church in Kapolei, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.
Martin, a resident of Simpsonville, South Carolina, will be helping with sermon preparations, making personal visits, and working with the church. He will also be filling in for the youth pastor and working with the camp ministry at Camp Kupono.
“This opportunity will allow me to be exposed to many different types of ministry, including pastoring, youth pastoring, teaching, camp ministry, and the closest thing to cross-cultural ministry as possible without leaving the United States,” says Martin. “I am hoping that through this internship God will give me guidance as to what He would want me to do in the future and that He would use me to impact the teens and other people that I will come in contact with for Christ.”
