Goeglein to Speak at Presidential Leadership Series

GREENVILLE, S.C. (January 25, 2016) – Steve Pettit, president of Bob Jones University, announced today that Tim Goeglein will headline the BJU Presidential Leadership Series Thursday, Feb. 11.

Goeglein’s address, “Faith in the Halls of Power: How the Millennial Generation Might Think about Faith and the Public Square,” will begin at 7 p.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium.

“As a Christian liberal arts university, our goal is to bring to Greenville speakers who will challenge and inspire our students and the Greenville community on important topics,” said Pettit. “I’m looking forward to hearing from Goeglein as he speaks about faith in the public square.”

Goeglein is the Senior Advisor to the President and Vice President for External Relations at Focus on the Family in Washington. He formerly served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush, where he was the Deputy Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison from 2001 to 2008. Goeglein is the author of the political memoir, “The Man in the Middle: Faith and Politics in the George W. Bush Era,” which was published in 2011.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the parking garage located directly behind Rodeheaver Auditorium as well as on campus streets.
