Please keep the following things in mind as you begin the spring semester:
- Opening exercises, evangelistic meeting and other required events
Students who are new to BJU need to check in at the student center lobby between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8. Returning students not here for the fall semester may check in and pick up their admission certificate in the student center lobby until 1 p.m. on Monday, or at The Hub until 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9. Any student not enrolled first semester should plan to attend the Student Life Seminar in Levinson Hall at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Those enrolled first semester may check in at the Student Life & Discipleship desk. If you have no required on-campus activities on Monday, you may check in on Tuesday before your first required activity up until 5 p.m.
Please take note of the opening exercises on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. and the evangelistic meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. Attendance at both meetings is required of all students. Dress is formal/Sunday attire. For men this is a coat and tie. For ladies it is a dressy skirt and blouse or a dress.
If you must miss a required event during the opening week, you will need to apply for an exemption. Go to exemptions.bju.edu to request permission to miss any of these activities. Before applying for a recurring chapel or society exemption, please check whether you qualify for such an exemption.
